....or you could send it to me. We all know darn well that it'd work great with the flying toilet and alcohol. Me thinks it'd make enough torque to break the block, maybe even my powerglide!

I say do it! It's not that hard.

Just a few things from a guy who built a SVO and its turbo 2.3 from the ground up.
You should rebuild the motor and get some good rods and forged pistons. If you really want to make it fast you will need to cut that horrible cast on intake manifold off and adapt a 2 or 4 bbl aluminum intake. I have seen them but I dont know where or how to get them. A guy who lives here in Fresno turbo charged a 65 Mustang with a 200 in it. He got some special head from Australlia that has a bolt on intake manifold instead of the cast on one. Any way last I heard he blew it up. Cast piston failure go figure.
If you port the head and add the manifold with a 4-bbl carb and a good cam 400+ HP would be easy. Enclose the entire carb if you can. I think you onely have to jet the carb up one size. If you do it that way the carb thinks that whatever boost you are running is just normal and responds to the extra pressure accordingly and accuratly. The bonnet style has problems. Intercool it! find a way it's well worth it. you can run onely about 5-6 PSI safely on pump gas. Intercooled you can push 10-12 PSI with decent timing on pump gas (CA. pump gas that is, 91 octain goat urine) and crazy 12+ PSI on race gas (I ran 20+ PSI on my SVO, with 100/91 octain mix). Also for peace of mind us an MSD 6BTM. They are great and will retard timing accordingly and will keep your car from beieng a pig from haveing to set your total timing to something crappy like 25 degrees or something.

I dont know how strong the 200s rods are but forged pistons are absolutly nessasary. I dont even care what people say about hyper-pathetic pistons in the end they are not worth the tears when your dream motor turns itself into garbage.
    Good luck.

your close its a T88! i think its a bit of an over kill! think i'm gonna have to trade it in for something smaller! think it s a bit too big! this sucker should go on my white car.. then CometGT1974 can eat my dust! j/k!

hey in my mind the car is already running! besides i need to detail and chrome the motor before i get it running! lol! :D

yeah thats why i'm thinking of doing it... again thinking!

well stock is still on the list first... besides like Craig keeps rubbing in! i got to get it running first along with the interior! :p

as far as the white car not pushed to the curb yet! so don't give me your wish list yet! i just got done putting a 4 core in the white car this past weekend and took the 3 core and put it in the 6 cyl. i also have to fit the sub frames cuz the cal tracs are hitting it! plus after seeing your car painted i think i'm gonna paint it.. the paints kinda got them 30 year dings on it and it would be nice to have a fresh paint job on it.

the blue cars gotta come apart too! stupid me i put the thermostat housing on the manifold when it was off the car and used allen head bolts! :slap: well now i can't get the allen head bolts off cuz you can't get a allan wrench in there cuz the timming covers in the way! doh! live and learn! so i gotta pull either the timming chain cover off or pull the blower and manifold off just to change the themostat gasket!

i wish i had some more time! too many maverick projects and not enough time! i went back to school too so i have like no time now!

how about someone else with the turbo? (SEE PIC BELOW) happy? btw just incase your wondering that is the same turbo.

i'll do it later.. but yeah those guy do need to see one!

yeah the both of you just give me a blank check and and send it to you! any bids... lol... but yeah i don't think it looks that hard.. i think i'm gonna need to take some welding classes...lol

well we will see.. again just thinking about it and like "Craig" keep saying gotta get the stock thing runing first! Craig stop geting your panties in a bunch! :D ;) lol j/k! but after its running (never lol) then i'll tear it apart again! cuz the block would need to come apart for the pistons and what not!

Derrick cut an allen wrench down real short before you go dissasembling your whole mill!
Oh and keep the big turbo, just use a very small shot of nitrous to spool it with.
Some of the smarter import crowd have been doing that for a while, managing to use big ol' turbos on tiny motors without much lag at all. I'm sure someone is selling a kit by now with a window switch of some sort to kill it by the time the turbo comes in.
Do you know anyone at NX? If I had to guess, I'd say they are your best bet for that.
Get ready to haul ass. I look forward to seeing what you do with this considering how nice your other cars are.

yeah i thought about that too.. thanks for the idea.. but i got it off! used a vicegrip  but it worked. and dremeled off the bolt and then unscrewed it :D

as for turbo.. yeah your right turbos and nitrous go very, very well together! have you seen the NX intercoolers? just by spraying the intercooler on some rice rockets we test at work... we've actually seen hp increases buy just spraying N20 on the N-tercoolers... crazy, but makes sence! check it out

    http://www.nitrousexpress.com/Catalog/4ntercooler.pdf

in fact i been trying to tell them to start doing a set up for fuel.. like a coolcan.. (damn i just told my whole idea to the whole world :slap: ) infact how about a set up where your purge exits... you could run the line to the N-tercooler why not? saves N20... he told me he'd supply the parts to make it and show him pictures of the idea. sounds like free R&D to me ;)

but yeah i know someone at NX they are really nice people.. don't tell the holley guys i said that ;)

as for doing this turbo... yeah in the thoughts and the works. but this wont be for sometime and most likey not that big.... that T88 is way to huge! i also like to do some research on where people have taped the oil line in the pan to the turbo.

but first things first i gotta get my stock parts back first and finsh this interior that ain't cheap! :)

I saw a Maverick at Norwalk, Ohio a few years ago that was a 250 6-cyl Turbo car. There still might be pictures of it on the MCCI website as I saw it at a Mini-Meet we had there. Very cool set-up. I seem to recall it was off of a Thunderbird.
