I am converting the 72 Grabber to a 4-Speed toploader and cant find the pedal assembly around here. It does not have disk or power brakes, but it has a 302 (Go figure). Oh and what crossmember do I use? I heard they both use the same one.

I have a brand new Reproduction V8 Z-bar if you need it - $80 shipped. You're biggest problem is going to be finding the frame side and engine side Z-Bar pivots and bushings. All the other parts are pretty easy ... If you win the auction I would ask the seller if he still has them and to ship them as well. ... Keep in mind as far as the stick shift setup goes - All parts of the mechanical linkage is unique to the V8.

What kind of v8 zbar do you have? One for a mustang or one for a Maverick. If it is for a maverick, I will take it unless 69GT wants it. I have a couple for Mustangs but not sure if I want to modify them. Can you use the Maverick frame side pivots?

It is a V8 Maverick Z-Bar. From what I have heard nothing else will work without modification. You will need Maverick frame side and block side pivots to use the Z-Bar. If I don't hear from 69GT by tomorrow night it is yours .... I prefer PayPal ...

any idea how it will work on a top-loader? I have all the I6 parts, frame side and the screw in block pivot for the v-8 off a mustang. I assume that I will have to modify the frame mount stuff. I really dont know what I am getting into.....Would I be better off modifying the I6 parts?? Any help appreciated.

    Lost in missouri.....

I can tell you that if you don't use all Maverick V8 linkage components then some fabrication and modifications will be necessary. I'll post some pics of the V8 parts in a minute .. Yes - The 3-Speed parts are same as the Four Speed.

Ok...so where do I get the rest of the V8 parts. If I can do a bolt in it would save me a lot of headaches.

    302, toploader.

I was under the impression that no matter what I did, I would have to do modifications???

I am going to use a cable clutch conversion for mustangs. That way I dont have to change the headders.

Sounds good ... PayPal $80 to dmhines@mac.com. If you need a different way to pay email me at the email address above. Try http://www.perogie.com for the other parts - they aren't cheap but specialize in Ford TopLoader conversions . ...
