Where have you hid your antenna?

    1977 Factory 302 Mav. 1970 Cougar Eliminator, 1975 302 Grabber, 1976 4door 200...and still looking
    Does anyone know if there is a power antenna that will fit the factory hole??

    so what do you all think of horizontally behind the grille in front of the radiator. it will hide nicely cuz it is black like the grille and radiator. we don't listen to much AM radio. if todd isn't blaring tull through the cd player it will be almost always FM. thanks!

    I think that might be a little low to be really effective.
    They do sell one that mounts around the perimeter of the windshield and works quite well. Installation is kind of a pain in the butt, but it's nice and subtle if you do it right.

    Without getting into a long discourse about how radio waves work, anytime you place an antenna in front of another metal object (like a radiator support) it tends to block reception from that direction. The best place to mount an antenna is as high as possible, vertically polarized, in the clear, and with a good ground plane. If you don't want one showing on the car, I'd vote along with courier11sec and go for the glass mounted option.

    yeah i saw those years ago... after market. a lil wire in some kinda tape. any idea where i might pick one up?

    they have them at Schucks (checker, kragen)
    Any parts house should have them. if not, try radio shack.
