I must have a wider rear under mine- I'm running 255x60x15 on a 15x8 wheel with 6" back space.

LOL... you see thats what I'm talking about, same type car and completely different results... :16suspect My head hurts..... It's obvious the rear is not original because it was a 6cyl car 4 lug.. When I did a search on the tag it came up 77 mustang, and then Finally found a site that said mav/comet too.... I'm going to see how wide the rear is while I'm out in the man cave....

The tag may be right for the chunk, but not the housing...

Well I got a fresh start this morning, I cut the 1" tab off the bump stop bracket and tried again with the .25 spacer... It fits now with about a 1/2 inch of leaf spring clearance :) Now it's on to bleeding the new brakes, and so far not having much luck with that either..lol.. I have a mighty vac and can't get it to work.. I'm by my self so it's a pain, I think I'm going to buy a Motive power bleeder and push the fluid down through the system..it works like a garden sprayer you pump it up to about 10 or 15 pounds and then just crack open the bleed screw... We'll see....

When you tightened the U bolts, did you push the springs towards each other ? That'll give you some extra clearance tween the springs and the wheels and tires. There's a lot of freeplay in the parts to give you probly an extra inch of clearance there.

No I did not, Thanks for the tip I'll try that... There on now with .50 inch of clearance... But I'm thinking I need lowering blocks she is sitting pretty high.. I'll wait till after I drive it a little and see how it sits with 19 gal of fuel in the tank....
