What's this wire for?

    Did/do you have an under-dash light that came on when the door is opened?

    That option(if I remember right) was on the LDO cars, but Im sure it was a normal option for any car if they wanted it.

    That was the "Visibility Light Group" and it has it's own harness that connects to the switch on the drivers door a pillar.

    I've seen the wires for cars without the lighters, they are taped to the main dash harness, and have a different connector.

    '70 Maverick Grabber
    I've got the same wire in my 70, never made any sense to me 'cause it's very short.

    Maybe it's for an auxillary light to watch the cowl leak...
