man, some people expect cars not to break ever, that vette is 8 years old with an 8 year old battery, i think its pretty good if a wiper motor and battery lasted that long, no car is perfect, every single manufacturer has its problems

I think he did good to get a battery to last that long but not the wiper motor. Think how little that motor probably gets used? Heck my F100 has 400k on the body and still has the original wiper and heater motors.
His is just a bad design.

Yeah, that's for sure. I guarantee the Mav has been the recipient more often than the donor when it comes to jumper cables...

the battery in my 06 mustang crapped out after 3 years and 36000 miles, so 8 years is plenty good

Cool pic. Bang for the buck those Vettes are a riot to drive. Much prefer the Vette over a Viper. I think Chevy does a nice job on the Vettes. Too bad about the rest of the line up.

have you cut a hole in the cowl of the vette yet to access the oil pressure sensor? only way to go when that goes out...I've replaced 2or 3 on my buddies and hes changed 3 or 4 on his.

Ouch! No, and I hope I never have to. That's just great right there... I think I would have to look for a new place to put that sensor. By the filter maybe? There are at least two spots you can use on a regular SBC, but I don't know on the Gen III engines...
