Your gas pedal has a pin in it. You just need to change out the gas pedal to the later style.

Everything was robbed prior to my cousin getting it. He took the suspension, 5 lug, and the remaining stuff. I was only able to get the cowl, and a broken quarter extension out of it lol.

Cut it up today, and scrapped it.

Spoke to my dad, and he wants the car lol. We're going to go half on it -- Gonna go buy her Thursday :D

I do have a 306 Crate motor in my garage that I can drop in, and high tail :)

Rick, what are you looking for in particular? Just AC setup?

Sorry, I forgot you had a 70...any year, other than a 70 will work, plus you'll need a newer cable, to get the end off.

To be honest I have no idea what all I may need, under dash A/C parts were the first thing that came to mind. Did the parts car have manual pedals or auto?

    I got my clutch pedal setup from a '74 250 Maverick and flywheel from a '73 250 3-speed Maverick.

Auto. However, I believe I have a set of manual pedals at my cousins house.

Make a list of stuff, Bob Williams (Mavrocket), Myself, or my cousin will have the parts that you are seeking. If not you're up the creek :rofl2:

I am always open to road trips and wouldn't mind driving half way or even all the way to deliver the parts to save on shipping.

Yes, any cable will do, you just need the retainer off the end, Craig will have what you need.

    Alright,

I will be picking up the Grabber tomorrow. Grabbed some more info off of the build tags on the body/door.

The car is a 1971 Ford Maverick Grabber 2Dr Sedan
    VIN
    1K93L162598
    Body
    62D - Grabber 2DR Sedan
    COL
    J - Grabber Blue
    TRIM
8B - Medium Blue - Deluxe Woven Vinyl Bucket
    Axel
    6 - 3.00:1
    Trans
    W - C4 automatic
    DSO
    74 - Seattle

    Plans

Looked up both my current car (1969.5 Ford Maverick) for values on Nada Classics. I believe this is the best for myself, and for the future of the build I plan on doing.

My Current Car with what will be in the car after its built - At High Retail - $5070 (WOW)

The Grabber with the EXACT same options as my current car - At High Retail - $14,430

So, IF in the event I ever chose to sell the car, Since it is a "Grabber" i believe I could ask even more. Regardless, Nada classics is not really a gauge to go off of when its a custom built car.

    --

I will keep the VIN #, and title for my current car, but I will cut it up and save as much body panels as I possibly can from the shell of the car, for the grabber or for sale. (which really isn't much)

    -

I will drive the grabber, and gather parts so that when it comes time to put the chassis in the car with its suspension ready to drop into place it will be only a few months of a project instead of a boat anchor stuck in my garage and a pain in the ass to move.

I plan to have everything ready within the next 6 months or so.

    -
The remaining of the car would be gutted, and stripped down to shell soda blasted, body worked, and all the new parts would be put on rather quickly for mock up then car would be painted.

    --

I will be doing a LOT of things differently, as I have gained experience working on cars and what not to do... like cutting it up before I have a "plan" :rofl2:

Bob, you're probably laughing because I was just at your house last weekend telling you I wanted to cut my car up and be done... :rofl2:

In the meantime, lets go drive it until the wheels fall off around town :D  :drive:
