heater valve I would think it wouldn't matter what hose it is in as long as the arrow is in the direction of flow
Water out of intake manifold, to heater core, into the water pump. Does your water shut off valve have two vacuum lines into it? The valve goes in between the intake and heater core, arrow facing core.
Ok, so I didn't have to "bite me" I dug out my Ford manual. It's a 74. On the Maverick info, they show a 2 line valve. Top line (brown) is partial vacuum an bottom line (green) is full vacuum. Were you having trouble with your ac, and did you get all working properly? If needed, I will try an email (if I can figure that out) or make copies and support the postal system. Book has diagrams of vacuum routing and explains.
