I wash mine when it needs it , so far thats been about six times in a year and a half but it stays in the garage most of the time, and I may have put a 1,000 miles on it scince I've owned it , my daily drivers a 2004 mustang gt and 2008 dodge ram 2500 4x4 gets washed at least once a week as they live outside and always have grime and dust on them from the steel mill and other plants in town and the tree sap from the tree near the drive way is on all of them and is the worst thing to try and deal with, the maverick don't get wet much as the seal for the windshield leaks and the mostly original paint may not like over washing....I can't wait to get the windshield fixed and the car re-painted ,but not till I get the rest of the project done will those happen...
My car always has a cover on it and gets cleaned regularly with detail spray made by Norton as per my painter. My car was painted 13 months ago and has yet to see a bucket of soap and hose. I get a lot of comments on the paint and that i must polish it a lot since it doesnt even have wash marks on it. Nope never been polished or washed just detail spray and micro fiber cloths. Our body man has a 80 Z28 he restored and it has never seen the hose either and its 3 year old paint now. Looks like it was painted yesterday. We dont drive them in the rain and keep them covered though.
I wash my vehicles when ever... When ever it needs it AND When ever I feel like it! They tend to need washed waaaaaaaay before I feel like washing them though... -Scott H.
