One way is borrow a boroscope and stick it through the oil drain plug hole and see if the bottom of the cylinder block is notched
It's not the only class you failed. You failed Geometry 101 too. Still waiting for you to answer my questions.
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess since it's a $400 car, it's not a 347. $3000+ Maverick, maybe.
There is a major visual difference between the 302 and the 347 and you don't need a trained eye or any special tools to measure anything. The visual difference is that the person in the 302 car will visually see mostly the tail lights of the 347 car. Pretty easy...
LOL, nice. I got it towed home yesterday. Was looking around at the valve covers and heads. Seemed like the heads were taller, and the valve covers were wider than a stock 302? I'll post pics soon. Maybe today if I can.
I'm beginning to lean more towards that. I took the valve cover off today and measured the head bolts. They are 11/16" size head bolts. I always thought that 302 used the 7/16" head bolts, and the 351 used 1/2" head bolts? Going to add some pics here in a few minutes.
That's a sbf most likely a 302. Those valve covers make the engine look wider. Here's my engine before the turbo, looks pretty similar. [/IMG]
