a buddy gave me a turbo to put on my cavalier but i think it would be more interesting on the 250. not too worried about the motor. anyone else do this?

go for it. make sure you understand what you need to do with the fuel system and ignition system. ive see people put turbos on and melt down there motors because they had no method to enrich the fuel under boost.

We put a turbo on a stock Dodge Shadow at work for the hell of it.(extra parts lying around) It went like stink for a while (non turbo engine internals) then as expected it melted away into a parts car.

you can safely run 6 to 8psi on a stock engine as long as compressions isnt over 9:1

you just need youre tune and fuel supply on par
i'm in the process on doing this to my 72 skylark with 350
    need blow thrugh carb
    aeromotive 1000 electric fuel pump
    aeromotive a2000 boost regulator
something like an msd 6bta ignition box and magnetic pickup distributor would be key..

a snow performance progressive alki kit helps too but not needed
