That is a Ford style Trac-Loc for sure without a doubt, rebuilt many of them over the years in my shop, and it's a 4 spyder type which is the good one, clutch packs are readily available,at this point I have not found anyone that makes 28 or 31 spline spyders for them anymore,I have a couple that are in parts, might have some used ones,I"ll check for you.,Jack

I must be wrong but I was thinking the spider gears were different from the side gears that mesh with the axles. Now..it has been a long while since I have messed with one of these things so I am probably wrong as usual.
I am sure I have some spider gears around here plus 28 spline seide gears as I had several of the 9" diffs. tore apart around here when I was installing the Richmond Loc-Rite.
The Lock-Rite is in a 9" 3.25 gear that is in my 71 f100. I need to pull that thing one of these days and put the open 3.0 back in there. I don't like the 3.25 anymore now that there is a 460 in the truck.

i have the passenger side gear and the half of the drivers side that the clutches go on. the spider gears are the small gears that are on the cross shafts. those you should be able to reuse. you just need to find the drives side gear.

SO I was thinking right then? The small gears on the pins are the spiders? The one that is splined and accepts the axles are the side gears? So he needs a 28 spline side gears? Is that right?

trac locs will always have washers at the posi hat . If you have washers on the ring gear bolts it's a trac loc. take a look at kevinstangs web page.

I doubt what I have will work as it is all from open centers. I didn't think about that before.
    I do have a 3.50 with a mini-spool in it but I wouldn't be near a smooth
