I didn't take it that way, I didn't think Jeff was being snooty - I thought he was just confirmng he put the stiff bushing in and it broke. That is a hard part about reading the internet posts - without the inflection in the voice, words can come across with a double meaning. :Handshake
Maybe.. But I don't see snooty either.. If everyone changes to a MII suspension then no need for the rod..
Yep.. I didn't see that attitude either. But.. that reaction seems to happen around here on occasion. I've slowly pushed a few of these old suspensions around without them in place(a couple had no engines though) and they are stronger than most think they would be without strut rods in place, but bumps and turns are surely the most dangerous to the lower arm. It's probably best that he re-installed the strut rods just to be safe considering the light work involved.
The only attitude I was expressing there is that I now hate urethane strut rod bushings.... stupid things could have killed me. They should not be able to sell those. I wasn't taking any offense from you at all. You hit the nail right on the head.:Handshake I was glad to post this if it saves someone else from being placed in harm's way.
