yeah i do have to agree that soe import guys (fast and teh furious style people lol ) plase don't think of me that way i'm into what some people know as the jdm crowd but i guess you have to know some of the wild things.

as far as the wheels go yeah they are wild they are 2 piece wheels and 2-3 weeks to custom build before shipping though they want 425 a wheel lol. i'm gonna just try and get them off the guy here for $1k

i have a 75 ford maverick 2 door that i'm gonna fully restore it has the 250 but i'm putting a crate 302 into it and i'm powder coaing all of the block and water pump and accesories but i'm polishing the heads and intake manifold. trying to make it identical to the edelbrock limited edition 383 motor for chevy. as far as paint i'm really torn on going o.e or just my own taste with paint like h.o.k brandywine or something of that nature or even just black. the interior is blue and once again i don't know if i want to leave it blue or go black

    decisions decisions.....

    p.s. i have horrible grammar(if you couldn't tell)

mavaholic you are def right on that and i never trully thought about it that there isn't alot of these cars left (figuratively speaking) and yeah i am a looking for a lil nudge i was never brought up into the domestic scene growing up. i' a mangaer at oreilly auto parts and we obviously deal with domestics like crazy so i kinda gut the muscle car bug. not knowing alot about these cars and what options i have makes it difficult so i do ask

Anthony, you'll do just fine here :tiphat: . Welcome.

Sounds like your on the right track with your car. Do you plan on lowering? You can make modern wheels look good on old cars just takes the right combo. Try photo chopping different wheels on a pic of your car to help make your decision easier (y) .

I think there's a mav on the gallery that has them installed, it was one of those batisthina (sp?) brazilian mavericks. They looked OK on the car, but as some of the guys have said: get what you like.

I like old school wheels mostly (cragars, keystone, american racing). But that doesn't mean I like modern wheels. Actually if I had a truck rear end underneath the mav I'd desperately search for a F150 Harley Davidson wheels, they're just so badass. I know they're big and wide, but sure they're mean!

I don't think they look too bad on a Maverick with the right tire. They do kind of remind me of a rim you would find on a lowered full size truck.
