The car is pure 70's - build one or find one and enjoy it!

(Craig, I like the add on in your signature - mind if I use it too?)

I did a quick google on the original company that made them ... don't seem to be around ... never know ... they may have an old warehouse full of unsold kits! :)

Yea the car itself isn't asthetically appeasing IMO but would be neat to have one. I say go for your dreams dude. :tiphat:

That car is so strange to me that I've had to go back and look at it a couple of times. I guess that says something for it. Owning one would certainly be a novelty. A little slice of American history. You could drive it to the discotech.:bananaman  :29: :yippee: :bouncy: :dancingpa :woohoo1: Get down! Get down!

It's like a bad car wreck, you don't want to look, but you just can't help yourself, then you wonder "Why???"
(I think there is a reason not many survived):yup:

It's a bastardized Maverick, plain & simple. Of all the cars ever made, I can't believe it's anyones "dream car". I'm here because I like Mavericks. Seeing them bastardized just turns my stomach. If that offends someone, oh well...

T.L. that is your opinion. I respect it. I think they are interesting cars, part of the era of the first energy crisis, muscle cars were dead, insurance rates were rising. I really believe in that disco fog time someone put that car on paper and said " This is what America wants'. The cars are as bold as bell bottoms, fat ties, wide belts, platform shoes and feathered hair to the max. They have their place in Maverick/Comet history and I think we actually may have one at the Roundup this year. I would love to own one someday.

i think it's a little bit of maverick history. if everyone didn't change any vehicles around we'd of never had the cobra, shelby mustangs, yenko camaros, or any of the other cars like that that did become classics. some made it , some didn't but there all a part of the history of the car.:)

Hey, yea, thank you guys for supporting me, and poop on the guys who dont, and guys, its not really my "dream car", thats what i meant when i said "my dreams... I just meant that its one of my goals, is to have a drag-n-fly maverick, because, sure, maybe it doesnt look like so bad ass or whatever, but i wouldnt mind having a maverick that no one else has... i mean, where i live, maverick's are kinda rare, which i like, everyone has a mustang or a camaro or a corvette around here, and thats why i like my car, because its a rarity, but theres still a few, so, no one around here can say that they have a drag-n-fly maverick... i think thats my main want in buying the kit....

I have the same thinking shuttle, I like having cars that nobody else has. Nobody has Mavericks or Comets around here either.

    Not around? No way!!

How could a company like that go bankrupt!!

TL, until you give the Pinto guys the proper respect, you need to reign it in a little! (Keeding, jos keeding)
