Oops, my bad. I just looked quick and labeled it a GM :D I just knew that as soon as I said it looked like a chubby it would turn out to be a Y block or something and make me look bad LOL. So what are you going to use ignition wise? Crank triggered coil packs or something?

I like the Mav that has a 70 Stang front subframe with a 460.
Makes it look like it could be a stock engine compartment.

I keep hearing about that, does anyone have any pics? Do the stock Mav fenders, hood and all that still bolt up right?

Where can I find the Video "Robert's Monster"? I'm considering stuffing a 425 C.I. Caddy engine/Tranny in a Maverick, and like the idea of constructing a new sub frame. Any help on getting the Video would be appreciated. Thanks, Donn

I am not sure if it is a 'cake walk' to put all the exterior metal back, but it can't be too bad. A friend of mine has a 68 Mustang front cap on his Maverick, it looks odd as heck, but it all bolted right up.
I need to get some pics of that car posted up... it's strange to look at!

That reminds me of a Pinto I saw many years ago...
Had an Olds 455 dropped in there, shade-tree style.
They swapped the exhaust manifolds to the opposite sides of the engine, so they exited towards the front of the car.
Then they dropped the pipes down and looped them back from there.
Sounds goofy, but it worked, and I wouldn't have thought of it.

The only 390 that I know of is the FE engine. They are the same width and
height with the exception of the High and Medium riser 427 headed versions.
352,360 & 361,390 & 391, 406, 410, 427, 428 all have the same size block and head design. 427's are a different animal, but the block is based on the same FE design.

460 and previous 429 are based on the 385 series blocks. More cubes, but more
rotating weight according to Ford big block nuts.
