!st, Its good that no one was hert. You are right about the bumpers. If it was an older Maverick there would have been major body damage. It may have buckeled both 1/4 panels. I don't think the big bumpers are ugly. You might find a bumper guard pad on ebay. You may want to check the back bumper assembly where it bolts up the back of the car and the fuel tank and filler neck just to be safe.

I crawled under the car today to check for any hidden damage. I'm happy to report there was none. The back bumper was pushed back about a half an inch. One block of wood and Dale's trusty hammer later and the bumper is now back in place.:) I even got lucky and found another bumper guard pad hiding in my collection of parts to replace the squashed one. The only thing left to fix will be stripping and re-painting the filler panel where the paint cracked, but that will have to wait until we have some spare time to do it. We were going to re-paint it anyway, so that's no real big deal. I wish all repairs were that easy to make. So, the Stallion may have gotten kicked in the a**, but the only thing that got hurt was it's pride.

Wow..good to hear everything is pretty much OK. I have often thought about how ineffective the small bumpers are and how all it would take is one rear ending to cause many $$$ worth of damage...
Still don't think I would convert my small bumpers to the big ones though. :)
