Very close! I bought some from a British car supplier, and tried it, but it wasn't as close to the original as the one you have.

Today I worked on making the mitred corner. It took me a few tries, so my practice seal is now too short, but that's ok. It came out really well! I then test fitted it with the window installed. I must say, it is just plain awesome. It seals great around all the sides, and squeezes down just like the original. As soon as I get my interior paint ordered, I want to see how well the color can be changed from the black. Then I am planning on making a complete set for myself, and see how they come out. (y)

The mitred corner cut and glued. It came out great!

    Installed without the window.

Installed the window and closed it. I am thrilled how well it came out. The bottom of the seal sits right above the bottom edge of the glass.

Stay tuned for a painted (blue) version of a complete set. :drive:

I will be selling these, non-painted, in ready-made pairs. The price is yet to be determined. Right now I am figuring out the cheapest way of shipping a pair of seals. I wont know for sure until I get a pair made, but they should fit in a USPS Priority medium flat rate box, at $10.95. The seals are very flexible, so I could possibly even get two pair in that same box. Don't know yet.

I want to get a set painted for myself, so that I can honestly say they are paint-able. And yes, for the black interior guys, life is easier. But I don't think painting them will be a big deal, I am going to use the SEM vinyl soap, prep and paint system.

I know, right? I put in my order from TCP for the SEM supplies. Should be here in a few days. Hopefully by next weekend I can get a set cut, mitred, glued and painted.

Thought I mentioned this earlier? These seals only fit Comets... :comet: :rofl2:
