I have a 5.0 Crate motor that came out of my fox body mustang. Gonna cram it in there some how :)

I used the TCI kit on my 61 Comet. I had put the 347 in it with BBK shorty headers from a fox body and a 4r70w from an Explorer...everything cleared except the hydroboost.

It would be more expensive because I have already spent $300 on this...

So that oilpan would end up costing me $350 before I get it put on.

So if you went with a regular one, the headers would fit?

Don't know. Maybe. Or maybe they would just get closer to the head, then become obstructed on something else.

Every time I go one step forward, I find another obstacle.

And here I thought this was going to be a weekend job!

But seriously, I don't mind losing the long tube headers. I had to get rid of the sidepipes because of them, and that was upsetting. I really liked those sidepipes.

Jacking the engine up each time I took them off was always a hassle. I really would enjoy something that just "drops in" from here on out.

I used the long tubes, I enjoyed them, and now it is time for someone else to play with them.
