Roller perches are a little pricey, but, I wud not go back to rubber. I can feel the difference in the ride quality, where it counts -- In the seat of the pants....

I called my SCCA racer buddy that has a '65 Shelby race car...

He confirmed back when they did use bronze bushings in the race cars... Said he'd never used them for street...

Here is link to Opentrackers FAQ's, read it all and you can decide.........
    http://opentrackerracing.com/faq/

I have all "roller" front end suspension from Opentracker and it works, period. Smoother, more precise handling and
ride. Greatest improvement is "roller spring perches", which I have mentioned to other members over the years......

The 8088s started out perfect.....but after settling a bit, my tires will rub in situations where you have to turn sharp. I have small bumpers, and my engine is all iron except the intake and headers. I think I will get the small starter when my starter quits, a smaller power steering bracket (I got a big one from an econoline to have a Saginaw pump), move the battery to the trunk, and possibly an aluminum water pump. (lol....I should just get aluminum heads and make it go fast) I think after that, the rubbing will be gone. Other than that, I like those springs.

weird. this looks exactly like what was in my sons 72. im assuming my 70 has them too. his front was so bad it needed an entire rebuild. i just thought that part was factory. looks exactly the same as what was on the car, and i doubt the previous owner upgraded anything.

so factor maverick fronts didnt have this?

They all have spring saddles, but none from the factory have bearings, they are all rubber bushings, although some 60's Fords had bronze bushings. I myself was not much of a believer, until I put a pair on the car. Like Everett said above I would not go back to rubber either.
