But, I did record (in writing on the site) that the car did not run as well or as fast with open pipes. It ran as if it was lean and I couldn't tune it out with the Edel 600.

It would probably run better now with the Holley Double Pumper...but I sold my cutouts to Wagesofsin.

    SIDE PIPES.
Loud and obnoxious with the look of luxury and class we all deserve.

I passed a 427 Cobra today in town and his replica sounded better than a thank you after sex. Probably a 454 or a 351 but it sounded sooooo good. I am waiting for the pipes before I install the headers I bought of a fellow member here.

thats another question i wanted to ask...what set of headers (part # if possible) would be the easiest to install on a mav 302? looking for minimum fabrication and cutting of shock towers.

Hot gasses flow faster than cooler gasses.... same goes when someone puts oversized pipes on a car that just cant nearly flow that much. You get more power with hotter gasses, to a point..

And I get rode hard from the cops about my 40 series flowmaster, so straight pipes are a no go around here, cutouts, yeah maybe at the track... but now we have sound ordinances, so its a waste of time and more weight to install for me.
