    Missing my old '70 Maverick
    I 'modified' a 1/2"-13 UNC bolt to plug the openings (cut the head off, ground a slot across the top, dobbed it with gasket sealer and screwed it in).


    ..... if we're talking about the same thing. :confused:

    We did the engine and tranny together on my cousin's 68 Fairlane, little more working room (still not enough) and 4 of us pushing and lifting, pulling, etc...

    we really weren't equipped at the location to do it, but we got it in without a scratch, put the headers on after we got the motor mounts bolted up.

    Mine will be going in in two parts, for sure. We have an awesome lift here, plenty of room, and not nearly enough patience to try it again.
