both of them are on now, i warmed the car up to kinda cook the paint on, it worked great, the paint set nicely, firm no runs, nice gloss. they look outta place though...guess i gotta start on the rest of the engine bay :D

as a first time car builder and being not much older than you myself, you need to learn a little phrase, "there's nothing finer than black primer" hides a multitude of sins, makes the car 1 color, and is cheap and easy to touch up. I painted my car for about $20, so I could do the body work, and what not, soon I'll be able to get some color on it.
Take it easy, good luck, and just keep plugging away on your project

Don't worry about TL, he's just off his meds again :rofl2: He'll be back to normal in a few days:D TL is a great guy, he just is very outspoken, and sometimes it's easy to take him the wrong way. Agree or disagree, he just speaks his mind.

ok so my trunk was wedged open becasue it was hit in the quarter panel...pushing the quarter extension over and ruining both the quarter extension and bumper filler. i got them both off yesterday, now i need to fix the dent in the quarter(going to be extremley difficult) and we put the car up on jack stands yesterday and we were greasing the front end today and found one of the bushings is broken, and the other is ok. it is leaking a very small amount of tranny fluid, there is what looks to be a grease fitting, but it''s on the steering components i believe. i can take a picture if that helps...any ideas what this mystery fitting is?

Man Show Random_hero Some Support. I Bought My 1975 Maverick For $350 With A 250 I6 That Ran!!! I Drove It Over 1,000 With Only An Extensive Tune Up. Took Off All Smog Stuff And Added Glasspacks And I Was Moving. Now Im Doing A 302 Swap From My Friends Comet To My Maverick I Have Machined Some Rims From The Aluminum Rims On A 1996 Ford Ranger And I Have Dunlop Gt Tires All The Way Around. I Plan To Be Done This Week End. So I Know Where Hes Coming From. I Basically Live In The Junkyard. But The Complete Swap Has Costed Me $500 For Everything. Including Exhaust.

if the body is in good shape you got your $300 worth and then some.
