the U.S. cars have a ford 8" rear end. as far as i know the mavericks sold in mexico and brazil had dana 44 diffs. the d44 is a like the 8.8. the d44s ive worked on have 30 spline axles that are very strong. you should be able to get a limited slip and any gear ratio for it. i would think that disk brakes off of a jeep should bolt on to it.
