I have a brand new HP computer (which is smokin' fast compared to the 7-year-old Windows 98 unit that I finally just retired), IE, and broadband cable access.

I have noticed that at the change of the hour, sometimes this board slows to a crawl for me.

I am primarily online early AM, so I wrote it off as a board maintenance issue.

It is all the time. Last night when I posted this, I was at home on my
Roadrunner connection-around 10-12pm EST. It was Slow!

Today, 3pm EST, same computer, wireless or CAT5 connection to the office server...Slow! Info requested below. I am sure there were more people on last night.

Can it be settings on my computer for this site? Everything else moves normal speed at both locations.

I changed some settings, hopefully this will improve the board speed.

The ads on the forum are served from googlesyndication.com and if the ad server is slow, it will increase the time it takes to load the board. I browse the board with the ads being displayed and have on occasion had to wait for the ad server to complete the ad request.
