Seat Belts!

    No Grabber ever came with an LDO interior.

    Kind of a light silver/blue. That is the color in my picture.

    my 72 LDO has a retractable lap belt with the shoulder belt that connects too it that gets hung up on the ceiling. I have the tan seats like first pictured but I also have the 73-up style door handles with the LDO door pannels(they look like the one in the blue car but tan) and the package tray with the little fasten seatbelt light hanging down by the fog lamp switch.

    Oh as a note from what I understand you can tell if it is a 72 LDO because of the fasten seat belt light. The LDO has a wood grain insert on the dash and there is no longer any room for the fasten seat belt switch so they hung it under the upper part of the dash right next to the fog light switch.:bouncy:

    I have a Fasten seat belt lights by the speedo.. but i think all do..
    CHaz.

    Mercury Comet & Comet GT introduced.
    4-door model is introduced.
    December, 1970, 302 V8 production begins. V8 cars get extra shock-tower bracing as well as an engine crossmember and double-hump transmission crossmember.
    5 lug spindles/axles are introduced on 250 6-cyl and 302 V8 models.
    All models get staggered rear shocks.
    Grabber hood & Grabber grille introduced.
    LDO (Luxury Decor Option) introduced, included driving lights in grille.
    Bucket seats become an option.
    Floor shift becomes optional (buckets only)
    Front turn signal lenses become amber (1970 are clear).
    Horsepower and compression ratio drop:
    170-6 drops to 8.7:1 compression and 100 hp (from 9.0:1 & 105)
    200-6 drops to 8.7:1 compression and 115 hp (from 9.0:1 & 120)
    250-6 stays at 9.0:1 but horsepower drops to 145 from 155.
    302-8 introduced with 9.0:1 compression and 210 hp.
    302-8 powered 1971 Maverick weighs 2763 lbs.
    A total of 271,897 1971 Mavericks were produced.
    A total of 83,000 1971 Comets were produced.


    Thats accodring to (on this website) the timeline chagnes.. which say 1971

    I've seen someone here had one from a 74 Camero in theirs.
