FYI, my first Maverick was a 70 with A/C, a 250 engine and a 4 lug 8" rear end. The 250 became available in mid to late 1970 along with the 8" rear.

Ok, just talked to my friend who wrote down the VIN. He says the sticker had paint on it and he couldn't make out the second and third numbers, so he just assumed it it was 92 like the other 4 door I had him write the VIN down on. He said he asked me about it while I was takeing the back bumper off and I was just like "yea probably". Guess I wasn't paying much attention, don't even remember him asking.

Whats really wild is that there is a '64 Falcon HARDTOP sitting next to the Mav. Neat yard. Might be worth the drive from Aiken...But then Jamie has bought all the tasty Mav and Comet stuff....

It was actually a '64 Comet, the body was pretty decent on it. There were several other early - mid 60's Comet's there. Had alot of good looking parts on it, but I don't know whats worth what on those cars.

I've about decided I am going to start looking around on the internet and getting more educated on what parts from diffrent kinds of cars are worth and what parts are the most desirable. I got those Maverick valance panels for $7 and and 11 bucks. We all know how much they are really worth. It's gotta be the same way with certain parts on other old cars too. As cheap as I can get stuff from Pull-A-Part, I am starting to see a good way to make a good bit extra money now and then. Going JY'in and makeing money doing it. Could it get any better then that? :)

Well that very well could be the 97 th Maverick built at St.Thomas, I'll have to look it up, I have all the pre-production and start of production for St.Thomas. Maybe that car should get pulled from the wreckers no matter how bad it is.....

Huh, I just re-read the post, they never made Comets in St.Thomas...none ever, so that dash must have been switched out of a Maverick. Damn and I thought you may have found an early production car

Hmm, I wonder about that car. I'll bet someone has probably swapped the VIN. I do know it was obviously factory A/C and factory 302, but that VIN just dosen't go with it being a Comet. I'll bet thats why someone junked it.
