Hey Ward I got a tank that needs some flames too. That is a good looking tank man. Grrrreat job that is sweet, I know who I am calling when I want mine done on my bike
To lay the flames out for you 2 would be no charge but to paint and do the flames we would have to talk.

Thanks on the support guys !!!! .... My son and i have made a list of mods and additions or subtractions that we plan to do so far... Heres what we have so far ... 1) Change bumpers to 70-71 style ( Have new bumpers ) 2) Custom interrior ,( Aquired black power leather buckets and rear seats from a 95 Cougar) Still deceiding on custom door panels or go with stock ... I say custom, boy says stock. 3) Mustang II front end , Been there done that . 4) 5.0 EFI set up ... Have a 5.0 from a 95 F-150 needs re-build . Gave up on Fe motor... My boy says its much "Cooler " to have a 5.0 (Blah Blah Blah ) 5) Remove the lower dash in place of the older dash "Tray"... Have lower dash tray. ( Not yet installed) 6) Center Console ... Choose the console out of a 95 grand am.. with little mods will work well and will work with a B&M console shifter for that car ... Thanks to whomever posted pics of thiers for reference ... (not yet installed) 7) 4 Wheel disc .. been there done that ... 8) 3 3/8 speedo and tach mounted in the stock location ... Have speedo and tach from Auto Meter , (Just not mounted yet) ... 9) Power windows and door locks .. I Have most of the crap to do this mod but except for the door locks everything else is sitting in a box ... 10) Outside door handles from a 90 wagon .. ( lol Cant spell Touras ) 11) Frenched Power antenna ( but due to recent posts we are seriously concidering a hidden antenna) 12) Either a stock , or Fabricated Grabber hood and we are seriously considering a custom type grabber hood using the rear lower vents from a newer Stang to make the scoops ... 13) Although we havnt decieded we want to do something with the rear lights and gas cap , Mabey some sort of custom tail light and gas cap door ( Still in the works ) 14) Reverse tilt hood ... thats where we are now ... Still in the planning process 15) last but not least ... 1 inch chop ... not something i want to try myself ... And will only consider after viewing a very well drawn example of what it would look like ... My Boys idea
Thats a pretty ambitious list. Keep posting pics as you progress. Where did you see the console? I have a nice clean 71 that I am collection ideas for.
When you say one inch chop....are you talking about the roof? If you are, one inch would be a whole lot of work.....not to gain much. I would at least go for a 3" chop if it were me.
Good idea, be different, the more difficult the better. It sets you apart from others. If it were easy everyone would do it.
I did a search to find the Grand am console pics but came up with nothing ... There was a thread awhile back where everyone posted thier consoles ... maby it was on another board ...One guy posted a pic of a Mav with a mach I console and some one else posted a pic with a grand am console thats where i got the idea ...Mavaholic you also posted on that thread ... Its not a perfect stock fit but with little mods should work nicely .... As far as the Chop ... Thats something that were kicking around ... It would be 1 inch max because i dont want the car to look customized but like you said it might not be worth the trouble ... One thing that both my son and i agree on is that we want the body to remain stock looking with small mods,
Rear latch Call around the junk yards and find a latch and hood pin from a International Scout 2. They were all the same from 72 or so up to 80. If you cant find one in a junkyard, do a Google search for IH Scout. There are several International venders that can supply the needed parts. The hinge should be easy to work with also.
