Actually, i've never counted actual passes......obviously you'd get twice as many on an 1/8th mile vs. the 1/4 mile. I just keep an eye on the tread wear "holes" that come in the slicks. I know that the Hoosiers last alot longer then the Mickey's, the Hoosiers have about twice as much rubber on them. I'll get you a couple pictures and a shipping price!!

If you dont mind,I`d like to know the prices too if there is more than one set for sale. Also I`d like to bring up that from all I`ve
read online about it ,anyone who is stepping up to slicks should also gusset the rear leaf spring perches so they dont risk flattening `em out and tearing stuff up when she hooks up good for the first time ...Am I right about this Stephen?

Definitely a good idea to do that to the leaf spring perches, I had it done to mine when I had the 9" setup. Although, I had run in the 6's with the stock 8" and the perches not boxed!! I only have one set of Hoosiers to get rid of, i'll check with my buddy and see how much he wants for his slightly used Mickey Thompsons, I think he has several sets.

If you dont mind, check your sources. I ask a buddy that is service manager at Goodyear and he couldn't find any 15X8's much less 9's because Ford never made them on a production car.

If you look around a bit 8 and 10 inch wheels are pretty easy to find.
9 inch wheels aren't very common, but I'm sure it wouldn't take more than a phone call to the suppier to get them.

Thanks Ray but I think you misunderstand what I am looking for. I consider all those wheels custom wheels. I'm looking for a stock steel wheel. One that looks exactly like the stock rims that came on the Maverick from the factory, only in a 15X 8.

Although after second look, that smoothie wheel might be the ticket. I just didnt want a chrome wheel.

Thanks Dan, thats what I'm looking for but I think a 7" would be too small.

I believe the perch is the plate welded to the axle that the leafs actually attach to.:)

Dennis, my rims are 15x7 and I am running 28x9 inch slicks.
I have 60 footed 1.39. Its usually around 1.41, thats on footbrake. which is "kinda" what you will be doing.

The round-up is gonna be fun!!!!!!!

I have found a couple other sets of used slicks. Both sets are 26x10" Mickey Thompson ET Drags. One set has 21 1/8th mile passes on them and are 1.5 yrs old., these are $100. The other set has 9 1/8th mile passes on them and were purchased this season, they are $150.
