That is the brand pump I have. Availability is not a problem if NAPA has them. Mine is a lot older and looks different, but is a little cube pump.

Not ever going to get rid of noise. Mount on frame rail (sheet metal will amplify sound) with angle bracket and rubber insulated as close to tank as possible. Electric pumps made for pushing, mechanical pumps pull. Remember to ground pump, keep pump and lines out of road debris, hot exhaust, and suspension travel. Leave some slack (s-bends) in approved rubber gas lines and keep rubber to a minimum. Open headers or boom box, covers most pump noise!

Litttle side note,, don't use left over gas lines for tranny lines, vice a versa, Use only the proper line for your job!

    Vacuum-vacuum
    Gas-gas
    Oil-oil

Question, has anyone bought some of that sound proofing material and wrapped it around the pump? maybe that would nock it down a couple octives?

That will not allow heat to escape from the pump and could cause it to overheat, burnout and or vapor lock

I pulled my car out yesterday to go to a show today. The Paxton pump is leaking real bad. So much for going to the show today. I've decided to get an Eddlebrock pump. Either the 1791 (6.5 psi) or 1792 (12 psi). Since I already have a regulator on my fuel system and I dont want to remove it, will the 6.5 psi flow through the regulator ok? I've always thought the input pressure has to be higher than the output regulated pressure in order for it to work. Not sure how equal pressure on both sides will work. Since they are $45 difference in price, I'd like top save a little money if possible. Any ideas?

I ended up replacing my Holly blue with a Carter P4601HP just as noisey but atleast a good steady noise. I left the regulator in place but the spec's are pretty close. What show were you going to today, I go up to Burtonsville when I can on Sundays.
