    so is this the metering rod? the rod on the bottom of the pump diaphragm..... how exactly does this work and what does it do? seems to not be able to move much after the spring is installed on top of it and the bell and cap installed.

    Finally had some success pulling thw carb back off. Starting new thread.....tha ks for all the help guys!
