    Keep in mind Ford didn't even want to build the thing after 75 when the Granadas arrived.

    My 77 has no exterior emblems either. People have guessed Nova and Mustang.

    1971 Mav with all the trimmings....302 Auto, Custom buckets, Power Brakes, A/C, PS, Grabber hood, spoiler, and mirrors.
    The odd thing about it is that more Mavericks were produced than Mustangs in the years Mavericks were made right? I think Ford made more Mavericks than any other car of that era. They just were never popular, at all, so nobody really knows about them. It seems like quite a few people have owned them, but anyone who hasn't owned one really doesn't know what it is.

    i beg to differ on the gas cap T.L. i have a 75 grabber with a locking gas cap that says maverick on it......the grabber was all original when i bought it

    "Beg to differ" about what? I'm not sure what you're talking about. I was talking about MY car. I traded a gas-cap I had that said "Maverick" on it to a buddy of mine for one that just has the short horns on it. It is not a locking cap. Maybe you misunderstood what I was saying...
