That's highly unlikely. They don't investigate stuff like that on 30- year-old cars, and even if they did, they wouldn't know what the car came with originally anyway. All they would care about would be the fact that you lost control of your car (for whatever reason) which resulted in an accident. It's ridiculous to suggest that improving the brakes is going to result in an accident. If that happens, then there was no "improvment" at all.

I do agree with everything else that you said though. You are right that one cannot just bolt stuff on and expect it to work properly. I also think that the best way is by trial-&-error testing with an adjustable prop-valve...:2cents:

I think he is actually right....lawyers will look at EVERYTHING. When my brother was involved in a head-on collision that killed the other driver (who fell asleep at the wheel and crossed over into my brother's lane)and put my brother in the hospital for 2 weeks, and not walking for close to 6 months......his lawyer (yes...he had to have a lawyer) came up with a list of everyone he was willing to sue. It included:

-Ford Motor Company who made the vehicle my brother was driving
-The dealership that sold my brother his vehicle
-The salesman who sold him the vehicle
    -The other driver's family/estate
-The State of Indiana for design and maintanance of the road
-The employer of the other driver (the other driver just got off work)
-My brother's employer (he was driving a company vehicle and was working at the time)

The list goes on and on. I don't bring this up to say it is right or wrong....but to illustrate that the DO look at everything.

TL you should really stop the nonsense!
I never suggested anything of the kind; and you know it. It's just your twisted way of interpeting everything to fit your mentality. Your responses shows this all the time.
I explain my positions. WHAT DO YOU DO---- find a way to be dissagreeable with nothing constructive to offer but one liners and insults.
Is life that bad for you all the time?
Your making this personal now so I will go as far as you want to go with it.
Lets go man show me your balls or stop now.

Dude, you obviously have issues. Everything I said was CONSTRUCTIVE. The LAST thing I said was the BEST way to do the upgrade. If that isn't constructive, the what the hell is?? I even said that I agreed with everything else you said. I never insulted you, but you have demonstrated an "attitude" toward me in previous posts. If you don't like my opinions on the subject, too bad. You can p!$$-off as far as I'm concerned. Your chest-puffing doesn't impress me one bit. Nothing wrong with my "balls" I have 'em and I'm certainly not going to be intimidated by the likes of you. Life is not "bad" for me at all. You're just butt-hurt because someone disagreed with your opinion about something. How come the majority of the other members here don't have that problem, huh??

And I'll say it again; no insurance company is going to look at a D-block or Prop-valve in a 30 year-old Maverick and say: "Gee, this is not the correct proportioning valve for this car, and this is what caused the accident." That's my opinion. You are free to disagree, but if you're going to act like a crybaby about it, I'm not going to waste anymore of my time or this board's bandwidth on you...

I'm with T.L. on this one. Seems to me like your the one that comes in with the Mr. know it all attitude half the time, Bluegrass. Also seems to me like your the one that jumps all over someone the second they disagree with you. I've noticed this on several occassions. :chillpill

TL you tried to change what I said in my post by the "suggesting remark" that is far from what I said.
Now address it! and stop hiding by dodging th issue.

    Moderator flexing his internet muscle.....

    Gentleman

Cool your Jets:) Opinions are like *******s we all got em and we certainly all don't agree. Arguing/ bickering is healthy just keep it in line. I got several PMs concerning this before I stepped in so nobody can accuse me of over moderating. Settle down and I have to say this is a very interesting thread lets get back on topic or risk a locked or deleted thread. Thanks

bad mav , im cool. You just know i'm not going to let a smart mouth go unaddressed.
I to am one of several moderators on another board. Been doing this a long time and been on this board a long long time before most of you ever got here.
I am willing to drop the issue but again I will not put up with anyone trying to change the meaning of MY reply to start B.S.. This is the basis of this disaggreement.

To Sefan, sorry to get the board a little ruffled. We know each other from way back and you know I don't normally get fired to easy unless there is a direct assult.
    Take care.

Dude, are you delusional? There was not assult on you in the first place. You seem very tipsy.

    Ok, I'm done here.

Proportioning valves have always been a racy subject around here. Worse than politics...
    Sheesh!
For what it's worth, a pissing contest with only one guy pissing is just a guy relieving himself. Not a big deal, but it can earn you a ticket in most cities.

Bluegrass, if I misinterpreted your words, then I appologize. I was not trying to "start B.S.". You are misunderstanding my intentions. Maybe it's my fault, I don't know, but how about calming down and let's be civil toward one another...
