Todd.....PINKY went a 6.85@100 which is pretty good on a new motor. If this motor follows the same break-in pattern as the old motor...I am already 15 passes quicker at the same point with this motor verses the old(new) motor.

Ray, I agree...it was really cool watching Katie crew on PLUM Great job....
    KATIE LOU :D

my best was a 7.51 at about 91 mph. first round saturday night i dialed a 7.61 and spun off the line and ran 7.71. you can't be a .1 off when you run someone like rick. he dialed a 5.90 and ran 5.91. was great racing at WHD and with all you guys. i definitely plan on being back. congratulations to john and wilber. :yippee:

i would have loved trying the other 1/8 mile of track there to see what it would turn there in the 1/4.:)

I think that would be the perfect caption Rick!

Don your car is awesome! Maybe next year, if you come to New Castle, you can try the 1/4. Although the first 3 years at Muncie the track was JUNK.....maybe they will take care of it like WH did this year.

That was definitely the race of the night for me....I know I stood there watching like a kid in a candy store. You 2 put on a heck of a show! It was awesome watching those 2 cars plow down the track :yup: 2 big time racers putting on a big time show

I would have really enjoyed watching PLUM & PINKY line up against each other. But that would have meant someone else was in my car :D

It was a great race event for all the participants. WH did a GREAT job of keeping the track in good shape. Especially all their efforts on Thursday when it was just us, I do not think you will EVER get that kind of treatment anywhere else. To get rained out and the track giving us 2 oppurtinuties to come back and finish it, that doesn't happen at most tracks.
I know its a cliche', but there are no winners or losers.....just a bunch of maverick/comet folks having a great time!

me a sandbagger :29: ....I am not the one with .5 in the bag :D
Besides, I had issues with water, the same as you :yup:

But really, when I watched you 2 barreling down the track, it was really a cool site. 2 bad ass cars with bad ass drivers getting down with it!!!
It was fun to watch, and from my angle, I could not tell who won until the win light came on. It was really fun to watch.

Its funny how some had no traction problems and for others it was like driving on ice. Anything over 3/4 throttle, in any gear anywhere on the track, and my tires spun bad. Last year I only had that problem at the light. This year it was all the way down the track. I think I might buy a set of those drag radials. They seemed to work pretty good.

Dry rotted slicks. Wether you use them or not after a couple of years they dry out. Some last longer than others. My friends mustang slicks were only half worn and 2 years old same problem. New slicks=problem fixed
