That is not a water/garden hose. There is hose that color you can buy at most auto parts store. It is high temp. Garden hoses are not 3/8 or 7/16 inch diameter, and I have yet to see any PCV take anything larger.......
Yes, definitely laughing with you. I certainly have no room to laugh at your car, part of the intake system on my car to bring cool air into the air filter from behind the grille is a piece of dryer vent duct from Home Depot!
If its that silver stuff it probably looks good! I Think I might need to use some of that stuff between the breather and the air intake behind the grill. If I do it will be the best looking thing under the hood right now. On that green hose, the walls are real thick and the inside diameter is real small for garden hose but it sure looks like it. If its garden hose you would have a H**l of a time coiling it. I'm more the braided steel hose kinda guy
Looks can be decieving and seeing is beleiving http://www.flexfab.com/Products/Truck-Automotive/Heater/heater.htm best pic I could fin. Seen it,installed it. Thought it looked like a garden hose too.....
after i removed all the crap from under the hood and scrubed the block down i masked if off with a bunc of shop rags and sprayed it down with ford blue engine paint, and the exhause in flat black engine paint. Then I added the JCwhittney cheapo chrome valve cover and bigger carb to wake it up a little more. http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/10/web/2422000-2422999/2422769_8_full.jpg definatly doesnt looks as nice as the other 6 posted bur i bet i spent less money on it lol
Yea, it's the chrome looking stuff. Yea, I'm sure it didn't because that was a brand new engine. We had to lower it in very carefully not to scratch the paint. Dan, I don't think you will ever hear the end of it for painting that engine orange. As Chevroletish as it looks, that actually really was a Ford color.
they didn't say that...they said it could be... http://www.flexfab.com/Products/Truc...ter/heater.htm ...... how was the trip?
Looks good to me. Isn't there a way to reduce all those hoses and wires to almost none? Surely an engine doesn't NEED all that crapola to run. My 302 has so many hoses and wires across it that you almost miss the motor underneath. Nice car, VERY glad it's with you and not still "en route".
NOPE! I like Limeade's answer--so that's IT and that's THAT! That's my story and I'm STICKIN' to it! The trip was FANTASTIC! The kids wore Disney World out! (and Disney World wore ME out!--I must be getting old) They literally jumped in and out of the pool so much that they both had red sore spots on their feet! It was so warm and nice! I could really get used to those Florida winters! Thanks for asking. Hope you had a great Christmas, too.
