    i run mine 89 proof

    i dont know what yall's compression ratio's run, but if you got a typical low compression maverick engine, like me... you can get by on the cheap stuff.
    mine doesnt run too well on 87, but i could de-tune the engine down for it.
    the biggest difference between 89-93 octane, is the price.
    mine runs quite well on 89.

    if your maverick isnt a hotrod, i cant see why you'd really need more than that.

    octane boosters are not good for your fuel system. they will make your car fun rough, eat carburetor gaskets. and reduce fuel ecomomy.
    years ago.. i used to waste my time on fuel additives. now-a-days i realize its a waste of time.
    if you really think you need a boost, just splurge and pay extra for the premium.
