Dennis, I think this is going to be a fantastic project, and judging from your previous work, I have no doubt that you can pull it off. I've always wanted a Mav convertible myself but could never come to grips with having a car with no top at all. One thing is for sure, after it's done, you'll have no trouble buying convertible top parts and gaskets and stuff like that. Using a Mustang is smart as there's so much available for them. Good luck and keep us posted! Sam
Dennis, I am sure you thought of this alreafy but a Roll Bar would be a nice touch Keep us posted. As of yet I am not that ambitious, but someday maybe. Hell I keep putting off that Rack and pinion build (after the round up guys I promise) Good Luck and keep all of your fellow "mavaholics" posted
Thats a very good point and definately crossed my mind. Everything is reproduced for these tops which also makes it much cheaper this way.
Mavaholic, I admire your courage in taking on this project. Best wishes. It should be a real encouragement to the rest of us to push the envelope a little bit harder. John B.
I'm both amazed and jealous of the talents many of ya'll have Heck I was proud of myself for just putting in a heater core and blower motor. Good luck on the convertable, can't wait to watch the progress and finally the finished product!!!
Dennis, I have to get over to your house!!!!! Not sure if I'm working this Saturday yet. Let me know when you were planning on cutting up the '70.
I was speechless when I first saw the post this morning...I still am. If anyone can pull it off you can ...You Da Man.
Dan; I am anxious to hear the negotiations you try to get that 'vert!!!!! Sounds like a spectator sport to me.
I'm speechless! Looking forward to seeing end results Too big a job for me! You've certainly got a creative mind!
