    Hey all:

OK, gonna shift gears here a bit. I went by today and looked at the car again (no, I have not moved it yet, what is WRONG with me?). and I discovered a whole bunch of things I did not know when I went and looked at it last time. I guess it pays to study before hand. ANYWAYS:

    1) I FOUND the info tag in the door sill, unfortunately the clear coating had been pulled off the tag, and much of the info was obliterated. Using Windex DID reveal some important info....but....

    2) I also found the METAL STAMPED TAG (near the radiator - this is a Canadian car), that gave the following info (and anyone who can fill in what I do not know is welcome:

    0143 22 13A
    T292722 62A 45

    UP INTER
    LO 1 CORAL A BLK

The boldface writing I can't match to anything.....Between this tag and the door info, I am able to determine:
    a) 1970 automobile
    b) 6 cylinder 200 CI
    c) Calypso Coral
    d) White/black cloth with black vinyl interior
    e) Automatic transmission
    f) 2 door
    g) Standard rear end

So, I got me a 1970 "orange" car with an automatic tranny and black interior. Sweet! Here's a funny (well, for me, anyway) - when I picked up my 1957 Chevy back in California in the early 80's, the paint code was CANYON CORAL - what are the odds?

Oh, and the bad - the owner left the hood outside between his house and the next, and someone ripped it off. The only GOOD thing here is that the hood was badly rusted beneath the upper lip - so it's not a huge loss. I'll find another one.

Wish me luck - I gotta dig up a place to park it, and get it moved within the next week or two.

    Chris
