So what you're saying is, it's like every other unrestored Maverick out there. :)

Good luck with the build, keep us updated!

Just Dashes out in CA can redo a dash pad. Unless your in a hurry, you might want to give Joe some time and see whet he comes up with.

With what you see in the pics , "hurry" doesn't really factor in, so I can wait...:(

Yea Chris, what I do is watch for deals on ebay and here. If it's something I want or will need I snatch it and store it till the right time. I have quite a few parts, including a NOS GT grill and a dash pad. Some day when I have more time I will have pleanty to do and will have fun for days.

    And with the above info:

1969 1/2 (Key on the dash): Data tag in a metal tag on the driver's door.

1970 (Key on the column): Data tag is a sticker on the driver's door jamb.

Hence (after reading all the post above this one), your tag is on the door jamb.

Also.....I am guessing your car is not orange....but a very faded red color. I am guessing vermillion. It looks kind of orange.

I just drug a 70 out of the mud and found a tag right beside the right headlight bell on the radiator support. It has all the info normally found on a door tag.

If you go with a six find a I250 I200 has a one Peace intake/exhausts. Go to speedsix web site. they are the best with I6's. I read an article about a falcon w/turbo it runs in the 9's Carcraft I think.

www.speedsix.com doesn't have anything to do with motors, but rather "special effects". Can you guide me elsewhere or attach a link? Thanks!

200's and 250's both have the head and intake made together as one piece. The correct web site is http://fordsix.com/forum/ Heads with detachable intakes can be put on either engine. Just depends on weather you want the SBF bell housing pattern or the 144-200 I6 pattern. I replaced the 250 in my car with a 200 back in October, and everything else being the same, the 200 is actually faster and gets better gas mileage then the 250 did... 250 had alot of miles on it though.
