My first -AN and braided stainless experience

    Here is what I used. $15 from Home Depot, saw same thing at Lowes in two brands, $20 and $25. Specs say High Leverage Cable Cutter, Capacity 4/0 Aluminum, 2/0 Soft Copper Cable. Said the same on all brands. The rounded jaws hold the hose so it makes a smooth straight cut. Very easy to cut too, not needing two hands or anything. Like cutting cardboard with paper scissors.

    Took me less than one minute to feed the end into the fitting after I used this cutter. The "factory cut" that was on the end when I bought the hose took me nearly 5 minutes of grunting to get it to feed flush to the bottom.

    If you use this, you won't need any hacksaw or anything else. Just wrap it in 2-4 layers of electrical tape, and snip right in the middle of the tape.

    I will be treading in these waters soon. I want my fuel line from pump to carb to be braided and all AN fittings...
