Would be ok for rolling stock but IMO a wheel with a slight lip in the front and a deep in the back would look much better. Also whats the story on the scoops in the hood? Kind of looks like the hoods on the new GT500's. :thumbs2:

Anything over 15" is a waste of metal in my opinion.

Yeah my DAD feels the same way:p. To each there own. If Ford would have had 17in wheels in 1971 like they do now...they would have put them on the Maverick.:yup: Besides anything with over 6in of sidewall is a waste of rubber in my opinion :D

The wheels look fine but the replacement cost of the tires will blow your mind.

Last year I purchased a new Hyundai Sonata and it had 17" 55 Ratio tires and wheels. I took it from the dealership and went to NTB Tire Co. and bought a set of 16" tires and wheels with 60 ratio, it improved the ride greatly.

Carried the 17" stuff back to the dealer and sold them to him for $300 more than I paid for the 16s.

Your ride quality is in the sidewall.

I am too old to be bouncing down the road.

What aspect ratio tires would you have to install to have the correct size for the Mavrick?

I would go with a 40 series sidewall. I've had 17's before with a 40 series sidewall and the ride is not that bad. Replacement cost on the tires are not as high as most people make out. Plus I work at the dealership so I can get them at cost. almost every tire has a 40-50% markup in price.
