It took me to my FB news feed page. Looks like FB is not the place to share pics with people not on your friend list

Son, Barry and I are back home in NC. We had a great time. Enjoyed the cars and the fine folks. Glad to hear that next year's gathering will be back in Somerset. We only got to do Friday evening and Saturday but we enjoyed hearing about ALL the activities. Thanks to everyone that worked on the event.

We had a tire go bad about 60 miles from home. Lost some tread. Fortunately, it didn't blow out and we limped home on the donot spare.

I made it home a little while ago. It was wonderful meeting everyone. One advantage to not having my car there was getting to bum a ride in a whole bunch of sweet cars. Special thanks to Ron, Tim, Tony, Allan, and Jim for taking me on as a passenger over the weekend. I missed saying goodbye to some folks, you know who you are!

I also got a good idea of what I want for my car overall.

Back at home, and all unloaded. Man, what a great event! Finally got to match up some faces to board members, Russ, Bruce, Earl, JSArnold, Stephen, Wilbur, Larry, Rudy, & David. The Hahns are incredible folks and really went the extra mile. The bar was set pretty high by the past Gathering hosts, and the Hahns proved they were up to the task.

Thanks to Ruth and Don for all the show setup and all the work they have done this year.

Sorry for holding up the wagon train yesterday while I fixed my junk. I appreciated all the supervision and moral support during my repair. A special shoutout to Steve Bucksken, for his help changing the starter and to Chris for the ride to get a replacement.

The motel was top notch! (I wonder what my wife will say if I tell her that I am addicted, and will now require fresh chocolate chip cookies to be made every hour.):biglaugh:

Had some nice Comets there. One of them won the autocross event.

Made it home at 5 till 12.. 14.5 hrs again. I tried going a different route but I guess it don't matter.
My wife and I (and Shannon) are glad we went. Everything was awsome! The food and service was amazing. Tony and his bunch made us feel like family. I know that next years Gathering will be the event no one will want to miss, we won't. I really need to have my car done by then..
Speaking of cars. The bar is set to the max guys, for me anyway. Tony said those cars are hobby cars. MY AZS! lol.. Too miticolously done and a lotta bling. Unfortunatly I am devoted to the Comet and I like it the best lol.
Too tired so I'll check back tomorrow.. I'll tell yall about the deer that might not have rear hoofs.
