Maverick?

    If i recall my first Maverick deadboy_side_small_copy_original.jpg a 1977 4-door (the Deadboy Maverick) did not have the Maverick name on it anywhere but did have the Ford letters on the hood and trunk lid. I really can't say what the gas cap looked like because it was replaced with an after market locking one when i got the car.

    '77 Mavericks says FORD across the front lip of the hood along with the trunk, and there are no emblems on the grille...no side markings either.

    I dont think this cap is original, the emblem is crooked though

    how'd I end up buying a 71 with both the hood and trunk lid off of a 77? :hmmm: sucks lol

    1977 Maverick 2 door with a 302.
    That's easy. The hoods and trunk lids all interchange from one year to the next. They could have been swapped out at some time or another.

    I guess for 1977 Ford was just using up the last of the old parts,...... well i'm sure there was still lots of Pinto taillights left.:outtahere:
