Here is a picture of my 1971 Maverick with flames at a car show back in 1999. It is strictly a parts car for my orange car...but I was driving it back then. It runs and drives great...but the passenger side rear quarter is smashed in. You can almost see it in this picture. The car could have been saved I suppose, but I really needed the parts for my orange mav.

Nope. The main reason is because I first thought this was a factory thing. Then I found out it was just a conversion done on a 4 door. Then the money transfers he wanted got to weird and expensive for my taste, so I backed out.

Are you saying that all the Brazilian wagons conversions?
Almost like a 'dealer installed option'?

From what I learned, It was Souza Ramos, a dealer in Brazil that took 216 4 door cars and converted them into wagons.

Wow, I thought they were factory...
Still, 216 is not alot of them. Too bad it is so ugly, it would be more rare than most Yenkos or Motion cars. ;)

Makes you think that if a 2nd world dealer can do the mod, maybe you could do it to a 2 door car... use a Vega, Pinto, or even Escort roof section for the rear.
    Others...
    Chevy Monza and GM relatives
    Fairmont
    Falcon
    Fairlane
    Malibu (78-?)
All available in wagons, many 2 door wagons.

Dennis, Grabber/Sprint wagon like the factory could have done. If ya do it like your Sprint it would/could really mess with peoples minds! Wagons really launch hard to with all that rear weight.

Robert, The 4 banger is a German design just like the Pinto/MII. May even have been the same one. 2.3 ltr. OHC.

Wouldn't those taillights be a cool MOD! I wonder if they were on any other cars? I mean
    of Ford ancestry?

I wonder what it says on the title. A 4 door, wagon, kit? It is defenetly a very rare Maverick. I wonder what the car would be worth when its all done. I recently read in Hemmings that wagons are going up in value. I know Ford didn't make a real wagon but there are a lot of Cobra kit cars out there. There not real eather.
