It really depends on the condition of the car. If it is not a total rust bucket, then I will more than likly get it. I found a shipping company that will deliver it to Baltimore for $1350
A friend of mine bought a 3 wheeled kit car that used a BMW motorcycle backin off of ebay from Engand. He had some trouble getting it over here.Ended up buying a title for a U.S. bike and had the seller change the numbers over there. He got it and it is neat! Just saying were there is a will, there is a way!
Well, the LDOFO is cool, but check this out! Imagine if they made a Maverick Limo like this. Sorry for the pathetic editing job, but it was a quick job. Enjoy! -Corbin
as a friend used to tell me in this type of situation.... nothing stopping you except common sense and fear ,and everyone knows you dont have any common sense....so... Go for it you know you wanna!!
If you anyone of you get that Maverick from over seas remember you can always get dealer plates for it if your know someone. then you dont have to worry.
The car does set in my driveway along with a blue Maverick with flames. I think it is kind of a local landmark. All I have to tell people is that I live at the house with the "flamed" cars, and they know exactly where I live!!!
if you don't want the motor, could you have him pull the motor out and send you the rest as car parts?sounds good to me. then you could build the motor you want and then reg. it...frank...
If you want my honest opinion...I'd make a tow vehicle out of it. Either a stout 302 or a 351 ..use it to pull the sprint. Maybe do the same paint scheme. That or Tub it and make it totally wild..it's nice to have a one of a kind original but you could get creative. Just my thoughts...
I have to say, that mav limo looks pretty cool. So Craig, you have a Mav other than the orange one we'll never see finished? Let's see a picture of this other 'flamer' in your driveway!
