HC.. hydrocarbons... is unburned gas not a lean condition.. thats a rich condition.. everytime i failed the idle test... all i had to do was adjust the timing and set the idle a little higher.. worked every time rather than spending hours tracking down little leaks... not saying that the little leaks arent worth finding, they are.... but if he FLEW through the loaded test and failed the idle test, it is because the timing and idle is off... it is that simple
The only thing you failed on was idle HC. Lean out the adjustment and make sure the float level is not to high.
