Sorry, Ray, no discounts from Mr. Marti.

I have ordered 9 deluxe reports from him with nary a dollar off. I just called him Friday for another one on a car I am in the process of buying to authenicate it's Sprint Pinto status and had to pay an extra $10 for getting it back in a couple of hours. It was a true Sprint Pinto, at least.

Looks that way unless the guy backs out. The car appears to be in good shape and is being taken to shows. Will know more soon. Will let everybody know as soon as the deal is done. Pretty exciting to find one in this shape!

That's awesome! The closest car to any of mine I know of is Garrett's (koopstamaverick) '69.5. The VIN on my '69.5 is 0X91T167193. His VIN ends in 167167 making the cars 26 apart. Both cars were both built on July 17, 1969 at the St. Thomas plant.

There was an article in Mustang Monthly about it a month or 2 ago now, talked about how Kevin Marti took his laptop to Ford, and they directly downloaded everything, and how he met the guy that pushed the button to erase everything pre- 1967 (I think it was) before that, they didn't really keep records, it had something to do with Ralph Nader and what he did.

Fords are very easy To Decode...im finding out that Chevrolet did a horrible job at coding the cars properly.

    Hello Group,
Of all the sprint Pinto's that I have seen "9" all had either GBC or GBE in the trim code box and all were 9A color code.
Coutang's sprint is the GBC code...
The one that Ironman sold his brother is GBE
    From Pintony

    P.S. a side note.. All were 2.0engine code X W/C4 automatic code W...
