Our prayers are with you also. You are blessed just by making it out alive. We hate that you have lost everything. And it is hard to start over. But keep your head up. Things will only get better.

Does anyone know if there are any other members out there that have been affected by Katrina?

Yea sorry to hear about all that you have been through. Just keep your chin up and work through it. They say that which does not kill us only makes us stronger......but still it isn't easy to get back on your feet. I am praying for you and all those that are working through this maelstrom.

My heart is hurting for all of you down there...I feel very helpless. :( Please accept my most sincere sympathies. When you get back on your feet let us know and we'll hunt down a Mav for you. In the mean time if you need housing visit this link:

    http://neworleans.craigslist.org/roo/

My family and I live in a little apartment but if things get desperate please PM me and we'll do what we can. I have a single co-worker who is finishing his basement and may be able to help. If you need clothes or anything please let all of us on the board know where we can send them. I have some stuff that's Large and in good shape...we also have some little girl clothes for ages 1-2 if you have any kids. Some toys too. I wish I could do more, I wish you could wake up and find out it was a bad dream. In the mean time we're here for you.

    Mike

Thanks for the link to cragslist.org

I found two close friends of my sister (who evacuated N.O. early) looking for her under the "Lost and Found" category for N.O.

They, in turn, told me that someone else was looking for them on a similar list at MSNBC.

They were genuinely relieved to hear the good news - thanks to you (and Craig)!

That's awesome! I'm glad to hear you friends are okay. We couldn't contact my mother in law for a couple of days and my wife was having a nervous breakdown...the "not knowing" is awful. They're staying in Texas now with relatives.

Hats of to you folks in Texas btw. I dont know much about your Governor but from I've seen he's a real stand-up person. "God bless Texas."
