Lance, I've always considered you a friend and always will. I really hate the way things came out because I really wanted to see the clubs get together but I guess it's just not meant to be. It's really ashame that you even have to be in a club to have a get together with friends to have a good time. Well, I know better than ever trying to make that happen again.
I'm glad things are going well for you. Sounds great on the car too. Hopefully we'll meet up again some day soon and get a chance to bs a while or maybe even have a race or two. I hope the best for you buddy! :Handshake

Well said on having to be in a club to have a meet.

The rules on that from certain groups I didn't think weren't exactly fair either... but I'll keep my mouth shut as Im not part of any group

I wont keep my mouth shut, this whole club is :bs:,what is a club? A gathering of people who become friends to socialize in something they enjoy, all i see here is seperation. All i see here is control issues on how one club or another club should be run ,i see my club is better than your club. I quess ive never belong to any club cuz ive always been a leader ,not a follower, because the way i see it in a club somebody leads and that means the rest must follow. Now a group of people getting together for fun and socializing and there is no ONE or TWO or three person calling the shots, this is DEMOCRACY. It appears to me that there is NO comprimising whithin the two groups because one group thinks its better or has more members so it should call the shots . I see great Maverick people leaving this situation Just like Lance and that is sad ,really sad . Its just to bad that humanity in general loves to fight instead of get along and have fun. P.s Lance again your last thread was very enjoyable to read . I wish that the people here that are part of the problem with the dividing of members would just grow up and say your sorry and mean it and then and only then will people be able to speak there minds .Ive said enough. Cheers Lance ,you will be missed James Beaulieu Jimmy2gates

I meant I wont open my mouth about individual clubs, as Im not a member

but thats the entire reason I didnt join a club.

Was told I wasnt a member of a club so I couldnt co host a event for a certain gathering/meeting. Funny how it was in my home town, I helped pay for the event and located and reserved the place... Oh well tho.

One group isnt better than another in my opinion, I just prefer not to be in one, and not having a Comet anymore helps me out greatly.

    Whoa guys calm down....

Jimmy you have a lot of passion(ya know I love ya brotha) but reign in those horses.....

You will just end up a marked man like me......

I would hate to see another casualty in this silent/cold war between the clubs.

This stuff is not worth rehashing.
It got personal and never should have on both sides of the fence and I am willing to man up to my fair share of it.

Numerous good has come from both clubs despite a few bumps in the road

    Peace Maverick brothers:Handshake

    In time anything is possible.

Hey Lance, glad to hear everything is going okay. Miss you. I never knew there was a riff between clubs. I know some have a personal interest in one over the other. But there's room for more than 1 club. I belong to both and have lots of friends in both. I will be going to the Gathering, only, this year only because I can't afford to do both again, Because of the price of fuel. Last years trip cost me over $5k, going to both Ky. and Va. I had a great time at both. If the Roundup was closer than the Gathering this year I would be going to the Roundup instead. My choice is purely financial. Good luck to everyone this year and whichever you attend, if you are lucky enough to do so,.....HAVE FUN.:bananaman

Hey Lance, life is too short. Come on out to the Roundup in a couple weeks and hang out with me and a bunch of other Maverick/Comet fanatics. We will have a good time just like we did in Kentucky.:yahoo:

Lance it is just great to see your smiling face on here again.:) You already know how I feel about you, again it is good to see you on here.

Jimmy, I know what you are saying but try putting together a big event and tell potential sponsors that "a bunch of us are getting together" and see what kind of response you get. Some times a label helps.

That's true... but at the same time, not everyone always agrees with leadership
