Hmmm... I did some this past summer on a friends 5.0. We (I) did one on each side of the block just to find that he had one leaking back there. Is ther a difference in blocks/years?

If this is something that can be done with handtools and a pair of car ramps then I'm all about it!
I was getting really bummed about no Comet and squeezing a wife and two kids in the F150!

I guess we need to settle the debate of ya or na on the plugs being back there. Wouldn't be the first time i'm wrong but I say ya, there are plugs back there.

I checked on an F150 forum and they said yes but that was a newer block. He popped the back two on the side so he replaced them but then he was leaking from the bell so he had to do that one too. He had a 90s block though.

For the record I'm not pouring water or gushing H20 at an alarming rate.
It's a dripping but not a horrible catastrophe like when a freeze plug pops completely out. I've had that happen and it was a horrible event.

if you dont have the facilitys or mony to fix the car, i sugest trying block sealer. ive used it to fix small leaks, blown head gaskets, and cracked heads before. it does seem to wear off after about 6 months but that should give you time to figure out how to repair it.

That one I worked on was a late 80's if i'm not mistaken.
They don't have to pop out to leak. I have seen them rust thru and seep getting worse as time passes.

First thing first. Determine where it is leaking then go from there.

    I suggest other wise.

That crap stops up all sorts of things. I have used it, but don't suggest it.

If its a freeze plug, it can be replaced fairly easily
